St. Raphael Elementary School, located in the East End of Pittsburgh, has been serving the Morningside, Highland Park and Stanton Heights communities for nearly 100 years. The elementary school, begun by Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden, opened in 1915. The Community of St. Joseph has served as teachers and administrators in the school until the retirement of the Principal in 2009.
St. Raphael School, which is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools, offers a challenging curriculum in a Christ-centered environment. We welcome students of any race, creed or ethnic origin.
